Mexico City V. the US

I thought it interesting that, while Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and Colorado all just passed laws banning "civil unions" for gays, Mexico City just passed a law allowing them. Add to the list South Africa which is legalizing gay marraige to the list of Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, and Spain who allow gay marraige altogether and you have a whole host of places more tolerant of the United States. How sad is that...just a decade after the end of apartheid and South Africans now lose rights to come to the US. Well, at least we know Britney and K-Fed's marraige is protected from the gays.
